A name used by many spirits for Saturn, referring to its secret history before the formation of the Earth, when it was a Blue Star. In one interpretation, it is the Blue part of the "Blue and Gold" in the Book of Law, which are "seen of the seeing". There is also a secret history of the origins of the Blue Star and its connection the Sirius system long ago, of which many of the spirits speak. The Black Star has a strong connection to the Underworld. See also Midnight Sun.
